A properly working flute is a joy to play, a partner in creating art. Fighting leaky pads and sluggish mechanisms is an unwelcome distraction that can keep you from performing your best. Boundless Flute will get your flute playing like new--or better--so you can focus on the music, not the tool.
Your instrument will receive the highest level of care and attention from a fellow flutist who understands the precision necessary for a fine instrument to play at its best.
Servicing all brands, mechanism types, and makers, including (but not limited to):
Abell, Almeida, Altus, Arista, Armstrong, Brannen, Braun, all Brögger System flutes, Bulgheroni, Burkart, Dean Yang, DiZhao, Ehrlich, Emanuel, Gemeinhardt, Green, Hammig, Haynes, Jupiter, Keefe, Kingma, Koregelos, Kotato, Lacy, Landell, Lopatin, Lunn, Nagahara, Mateki, Miyazawa, Muramatsu, Powell, Pearl, Rudall Carte, Sakurai, Sankyo, Seaman, Straubinger, Trevor James, Weissman-McKenna, Williams, Yamaha, and Zentner.

To my amazing clients (present and future!):
I've updated my pricing to better reflect the time it takes to give your the best possible service. The pricing below is the OLD pricing, but I'm leaving it here for now because I am too busy fixing flutes to update my website properly! Eek! Forgive me...
The new pricing may result in you paying more or less than what's listed below.

Glossary
Adjust Pad: The charge to remove leaks from one pad and adjust that key to synchronize with others.
Case Inserts: Velvet inserts to take up extra space in the case. Necessary if there is any movement of the flute in the case.
COA: Clean, Oil, Adjust. Full disassembly (unpinning) of the keywork, cleaning of the body and some minor tarnish removal, cleaning of old oil from the mechanism, spring tensioning, key height adjustments, regulation of synced keys, pad shimming to remove leaks, reassembly with fresh oil, tenon fitting, and a new headjoint cork. Work is guaranteed for six months. Recommend this service annually to keep flute in optimal condition and extend its life.
E Facilitator: A plastic or metal disc placed in the lower G hole to aid in the response of high E.
Emergency Fee: Added to normal repair charge for last-minute, next-day repairs.
Fit Headjoint: Fit a non-original head to a flute body. Extra charge may apply for extreme changes of size.
Headjoint Cork: Cork shaped, sealed, and placed optimally in your headjoint. Included in COA, Repad, and Overhaul services. Recommend replacing the cork yearly.
Overhaul: Returns the flute to a like-new (or better) condition. Flute completely disassembled, all parts washed and hand polished, major scratches and dents removed, keywork refit, all corks and felts replaced, headjoint cork replaced, tenons refit as needed, all new pads. Flute shimmed and adjusted to remove all leaks and keywork oiled, synchronized and adjusted. Springs retensioned, flute play-tested extensively. Work is warranted for six months. Recommend yearly clean, oil, adjust (COA) to maintain the flute and preserve the value of an overhaul.
Pad Stabilizers: Plastic or brass discs installed in the pad cups under the pads. A necessary charge for all Straubinger, JS Gold, and Pisoni S2 conversions from felt.
Repad: A COA, plus all new pads. Please note that pure repads are rare - the mechanism, toneholes, and all corks and felts must be in perfect condition. Additional charges apply to correct deficiencies in these areas.
Replace Pad: The charge to replace a single pad with the exact same or similar type of pad, and to adjust that key to synchronize with others.
Shim Pad: The charge to remove leaks from one pad and adjust that key to synchronize with others.
Tone Hole Repair: Removes burrs and sharp edges from manufacturing to help prevent ripped pads and provide a better seal.
Yamaha Grommet Conversion: A one-time, necessary charge for all 500 series and up Yamahas. Without this conversion, pad work will not remain stable after servicing, and the flute will constantly leak.
