Sarah Bouchard Stockton is recognized throughout Connecticut as an accomplished flutist, musician, teacher, and flute repair technician.

Sarah received her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance in 2003 from the University of Connecticut, where she studied with Dr. Barbara Hopkins. While there, she was invited to perform at masterclasses for Julius Baker, was the youngest winner of the University's Concerto Competition, and held the co-principal flute chairs in both the University Wind Ensembles and the Symphony Orchestra. Her past teachers include Gwynn Griffin, Ethan Stang, Greig Shearer, Barbara Hopkins, and Peter Standaart.

After graduating, Sarah began teaching private flute lessons, as well as teaching band, choir, and general music in the public schools from 2006 to 2016. Sarah obtained her Master of Music Education from The Boston Conservatory in August of 2012. She is currently the Private Lessons Teacher in Flute at Wesleyan University, and has also served as the conductor of the Wesleyan wind ensemble, WesWinds.

Presently, Sarah is the only Straubinger Certified and Muramatsu Authorized flute repair technician in Connecticut, and is one of two JS Gold Recommended techs. She has trained with Jonathon Landell and the Vermont Guild of Flute Making, earning certification in padding, mechanical repairs, and headjoint making. She specializes in repairing and maintaining handmade flutes and flutes with Brögger Mechanisms, but enjoys bringing flutes of any level and mechanism design to their highest potential.
